Kids At Play Holds Ribbon Cutting & Grand Opening At Their Brand New Location in Roxborough

For seven years, Kids At Play has been hosting unforgettable birthday parties, providing essential therapy for children, and creating a safe space for kids to learn and grow in East Falls. Now they are moving locations as they have built a new and improved therapy playground in Roxborough. Kids At Play is preparing to welcome Philadelphia families to their new space during their ribbon cutting on Wednesday, May 31st.

When Julia Bookbinder started at Kutest Kids, she had a vision for an indoor therapy center where children could receive therapy in a comfortable and enjoyable environment. Her vision became a reality in 2015 when Kids At Play was built. 

After a successful seven years, Kids At Play has outgrown its location in East Falls and is ready to open up a brand new facility in Roxborough – 7201 Ridge Ave Philadelphia, PA 19128. Families, city officials, and other special guests will get a first look at the new indoor sensory playground during the ribbon cutting on Wednesday, May 31 at 3:30 p.m. This new location will have all the same beloved amenities, and there will be even more therapy rooms.

Kids At Play is an inclusive space with activities and designated areas for children of all developmental stages. Their goal is to help children reach their full potential by doing what they love: play! With their zip line, interactive virtual playground, toddler area, ball pits and entertaining swings and slides, they’re one of the most fun places for kids of any age. Kids At Play has even been awarded by Philadelphia Family and Main Line Parent as their Favorite Play Space and Favorite Developmental Services of 2023.

“The whole concept behind it was that it was going to be a natural environment for kids to come in and play. We don’t want the kids to know they’re receiving therapy,” says Julia Bookbinder, Director of Operations at Kids At Play

Kids At Play is a one-of-a-kind resource for Philadelphia families because the very people who run it are a family themselves. Every staff member’s heart and soul goes into making Kids At Play a sanctuary for the children and parents who rely on their services.
