Schuylkill Yards Unveils Schedule of Free Weekly Programming and Events at Drexel Square Park

Brandywine Realty Trust recently announced an array of experiential programming at Drexel Square, its 1.3-acre greenspace located within its mixed-use Schuylkill Yards neighborhood, beginning on April 17, and running through the first week of October. Designed to cultivate an environment of shared connection, the recurring weekly programming, special happenings, and marquee events invite Brandywine tenants, employees, and the community at large to enjoy free experiences at the park.

Drexel Square pop-ups will cover a wide range of interests, including wellness, entertainment, education, and more, including but not limited to food truck and lunch pop-ups, group fitness classes, live music, plant workshops, and art classes.

On Tuesday, April 18, Drexel Square will host a kickoff event featuring a sampling of spring programming. Beginning at 12:00pm, the event will feature acoustic musical samplings from Skylyne Music Group, food offerings from Dos Hermanos Taco Truck, free beverage promotions from Garces Trading Company, and Kettlebell Flow with Word Life Yoga from 5:30-6:30pm.

Recurring Weekly Programming — Running through the first week of October

Yoga in the Yard with Gwen Lewis– Join Gwen, a yoga teacher from West Philly, for FREE Vinyasa yoga classes every Monday at Drexel Square. We’ll flow for 1 hour, to the sounds of soft R&B music. Occurs: Weekly on Mondays, 6:00-7:00pm

Barre at the Square with Tuck Barre & Yoga– Join us for a series of FREE barre classes every Tuesday evening at Drexel Square. You bring the mat and West Philly’s own Tuck Barre & Yoga will bring the heart-pumping fun, leading a workout that combines ballet-inspired moves with elements of Pilates, dance, yoga, and strength training. Bring your own mat, towel, water, and sunscreen. Occurs: Weekly on Tuesdays, 5:30-6:30pm

Kettlebell Flow with Word Life Yoga– Word Life Yoga presents an hour-long evening program featuring a combination of kettlebell exercises accompanied by a yoga flow. Occurs: Weekly on Wednesdays, 6:00-7:00pm

Wake Up HIIT Cardio with Paris Fit– Join Noel on Thursdays for weekly energetic HIIT workout classes. Be sure to bring along a mat, towel, sunscreen, and lots of water to enhance your morning with a rewarding high-intensity group class. Occurs: Weekly on Thursdays, 11:00am – 12:00pm

Acoustic Lunch Hour with Skylyne Music Group– Skylyne Music Group Presents a summer acoustic series, spotlighting Philly’s best up-and-coming talent through intimate acoustic performances. Join us during lunch hour at Drexel Square for a can’t-miss collection of Philadelphia artists in a series of musical performances. Occurs: Bi-weekly on Tuesday’s, starting 4/18, 12:00-1:30pm

Pastel Drawing Classes with Artsi Philly– Express yourself and channel your inner artist with a FREE pastel drawing class, hosted by Artsi Philly in partnership with Brandywine Realty Trust. Picture Me Philly is an outdoor pastel drawing series open to all levels. Taught by visual artist Jessica Cantone, this class teaches essentials of landscape and cityscape drawing and different pastel drawing techniques that will expand your range of artistic expression. All art supplies included. BYO – wine, beer, snack. Occurs: Monthly on Thursdays, starting 4/20, 6:00-8:00pm  

Food Truck Pop-up with Dos Hermanos Tacos– Local food truck Dos Hermanos Tacos will bring its fresh, authentic Mexican cuisine to Drexel Square. Occurs: As announced, 12:00-2:00pm

Philadelphia NEDA Walk– Join the fight against eating disorders at this year’s annual NEDA (National Eating Disorder Association) walk, presented by the Renfrew Center, and help advocate for over 30 million struggling with disordered eating. Occurs: Sunday, 4/16; check in at 9:30am, walk at 10:00am

Paris Fit’s Spring Kick-Off– Celebrate national workout day with Paris Fit on May 6 through fitness, yoga, and Zumba offerings at Drexel Square! Occurs: Saturday, 5/6 at 12:30pm

West Philly Mid Spring Mother’s Day Market– Celebrate mom this year at the West Philly Mid Spring Mother’s Day Market, featuring over 40 local makers and artists, live music, food and drink, and a fresh flower market for the perfect Mother’s Day gift! Occurs: Saturday, 5/13 from 11:00am-6:00pm
