The Clay Studio’s Ornaments From the Artist’s Studio collection celebrate the holiday season with ceramic works starting at $15. Ceramic enthusiasts can decorate their tree and living space with original pieces, including Peter Morgan’s homage to hometown pride with his “ILL” Christmas creation or Maria Albornoz’s intricate, hand-drawn designs depicting studio pets. Visitors can shop Resident Artist Ruth Easterbrook’s functional art, including serving platters, bowls, vases, and the perfect mug, guaranteed conversation pieces for any collection.
For shoppers on a budget, check out the “Holiday Gifts Under $60” tab on the website to shop a large selection of ceramic jewelry, keychains, tiles, and pottery. From Stefani Threet’s colorful ceramic luster earrings to Nitza Walesca’s series of painted tiles inspired by her Puerto Rican heritage to dishes from Sandra Torres, shoppers will have no trouble finding that something special.

Each month, The Clay Studio highlights a featured artist to inspire them to make something extra special, help spotlight their work, and to provide a curated experience for shoppers. The December Artist Highlight features Masa Sasaki, a classically-trained artist, award-winning painter, and uniquely stylistic potter. His creative practice has impressed audiences with his distinctive sense of precision and artistic vision. For his featured display, Sasaki has created a variety of functional plates, pots, and mugs that incorporate adorable alien creatures juxtaposed alongside colorful geometric designs.
Gift cards make for an excellent present for artists practicing at any level. Gift cards may be used to purchase classes or to participate in a fun and casual experience, Date Nights, where friends or couples can enjoy beer, wine, and light fare while learning how to throw clay. Date nights are for adults aged 18 and over, and tickets must be purchased in advance.
Fifty percent of all purchases from The Clay Studio go directly to the artists. The additional proceeds return to the nonprofit operations of The Clay Studio, which serves 35,000 people each year with the highest quality artistic, educational, and community programs.
Online orders must be received by December 12 to ensure delivery by December 25. The Shop at The Clay Studio is open Monday to Saturday, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sundays, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additionally, the shop will be open for last-minute holiday shopping on Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Clay Studio will be closed on Christmas Day.
