XI West is a hot new spot in University City for weddings and events

If you have a celebration coming up, consider Philadelphia’s newest wedding and private events venue- right in University City! XI West, located under Dim Sum House by Jane G’s 3939 Chestnut Street, is a gorgeous new facility that features 6,000 square feet of space perfect for weddings, bridal showers, rehearsals dinners, family reunions, birthdays, celebrations, corporate events, holiday parties, luncheons, food festivals and much more!

Last night I celebrated the grand opening of this gorgeous new space in University City. With a ten-course meal, firecrackers, dancing, lychee martinis, karaoke (!) and a traditional lion dance- I hope all of my friends consider this place for their next fancy event. It was a blast and I’d love to go back again and again!

Amazing dishes!

Designed by Architect Fred Vidi Design with interior design by Janice Mok from Mok Design Inc., you can expect a very modern and chic look with an industrial loft vibe. Really great for any occasion and you can make it your own!

For modern wedding couples looking for something unique and affordable, dim sum themed weddings are a great idea and XI West can easily make it happen! Couples and event planners will be pleased to find gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options on the menu. Asian couples will love the stunning decor paired with traditional foods, pleasing youth couples and older parents- a great way to bring together and bridge the generations. For events that require unique and high end cuisine, the entire menu is customizable! The King Crab, that Dim Sum House upstairs is known for, can be ordered for your event. Also a must- the incredible chicken in a curry cream sauce.

XI West was three years in the making and like most venues, it was impacted by COVID. The Dim Sum House Family- Jane Guo and Jackson Fu– hope you enjoy their journey and vision as it finally comes to life.

Jane G is a leading female and Asian pioneer in the restaurant industry in Philadelphia. Along with the University City and Rittenhouse locations of Dim Sum House by Jane G, a new location will be opening later this year near 2nd and Girard, at 1214 N. American Street in Fishtown/NoLibs. It will feature seating inside for around 100 guests, a 20 foot bar, private event spaces, and, for the first time, a large covered outdoor area that will seat around 100+ guests. The location is just around the corner from Fu’s own residence in Northern Liberties!
