Coastal Chateau, a new BiteSized boutique hotel is here to bring Jersey Shore goers an elevated and luxury hospitality experience. Previously known as the Atlantis Inn, the building is a Ocean City staple, dating back to 1879 and first owned by the founding family of the island.
Known for their design expertise and “good vibes”, new owners and sisters Alexis Scaffidi, Alyse Scaffidi and their family decided it was time to have a physical space to bring happiness and memories to those enjoying the beach town that they love most.
“The name Coastal Chateau symbolizes our hotel’s blend of grand architecture and coastal beauty, offering a unique and welcoming experience along the Jersey Shore,” said Alyse. “As long-time visitors to Ocean City, our family has always treasured our time spent here. Acquiring this property was a full-circle moment for us—allowing us to own a place in a town that holds special meaning and help create those same memories for others.”
Only one block from the beach at 6th and Atlantic streets and with a goal of keeping the charm and the feeling of the historic landmark, the family has renovated the interior of the space with a refresh on the exterior. From fixtures to paint and furniture to amenities, guests will be staying in a fully refurbished space. With no two rooms the same, all are one-of-a-kind.
“Our guest rooms are mainly composed of King Bed and Double Queen options for romantic getaways or quality time with family and friends,” said Alexis. “Additionally, apartments are available for those planning a longer trip or visiting as groups.” The previously adults only hotel is now kid friendly. Further and in true “BiteSized” fashion, the hotel is also pet friendly, meaning all “fur babies” are welcomed for some fun in the sun.
Hotel amenities include complimentary beach tags, continental breakfast, Salt & Stone toiletries, bath robes and slippers, Italian linens, HDTV with streaming and in-room mini fridges. Daily cleaning and room refresh services are available upon request and staff is always a message away if new towels or linens are needed. Overnight parking is also available for an additional fee.

The Coastal Chateau operates daily for the summer season, ranging from mid-May to mid-October. Outside of these months, the hotel transitions to weekend accommodations and will host a variety of planned events and activities during fall, winter, and spring.
