National First Responder Day is October 28th. Kelly Music for Life is proud to announce details of Haverford FIRST FEST Music and Arts Festival, a salute to our first responders. Kelly Music for Life, a Haverford Township non-profit will salute Police, Fire, Medical and Military first responders with its third annual Haverford FIRST FEST Music and Arts Festival on Saturday, October 14th from Noon to 9pm in the center of Haverford Township.
The day will include live music performances by artists who are first responders themselves or have family connections to first responders. Father Kevin Gallagher, Pastor of St Denis Parish in Havertown and Chaplain for Oakmont Fire Company will be the Grand Marshal. The National Anthem will be sung by former Philadelphia Police Detective Matt McDonald.
Tom Kelly, FIRST FEST Director and Chairman of Kelly Music for Life emphasizes the importance of these special heroes. “First Responders are in our families and among our friends. They are a special breed. While everyone else runs away, they run toward the danger.”
Kelly Music for Life’s FIRST FEST will feature over 20 bands and performers including many First Responders and their families. There will be two stages showcasing music of all types including Pop, Country, Rock, Blues, Irish, Alternative, and Singer-Songwriters. The event will also have a designated area for the “Crafter Village” hosting over 70 local artisans and crafters featuring all hand-made goods. Kids will enjoy the giant inflatable slide. There will be food vendors, a beer garden and more!
The 3rd annual Haverford FIRST FEST Music Festival and Crafter Village will take place Saturday, October 14th from Noon to 9pm at 50 E. Eagle Road in Havertown, PA 19083. The event is a fundraiser supporting music, arts and education initiatives at the Kelly Center in Havertown.
