Morgan’s Pier, Philadelphia’s staple summertime destination, is opening for its 12th season on Thursday, April 20th at 4:00pm. Their team is gearing up for a better-than-ever season with a revamped menu, updated (while still keeping the classics) beverage selection, with the addition of weekly entertainment almost nightly – giving every night this season the potential to feel like you are on staycation.
This landmark dining destination’s culinary offerings will be a merger of several staples with updated and revised additions for the 2023 season. Guests can count on their favorite Pier Burger to make it’s return, with tasty new additions including crispy calamari “piccata”, braised short rib birria taquitos and consomme, and a fresh burrata and arugula salad with grilled plums, pistachio pesto and toasted sourdough.
From the bar, be on the lookout for their signature Crushin’ It, made of Grey Goose Vodka, Yellow Edition Red Bull, and mango puree! Frozen favorites will rotate throughout the season, but frozen margaritas and non-alcoholic lemonade will be the staple of the summer. As always, an impressive selection of (majority local) draft and canned beer selections will be available.
New weekly entertainment to get excited about includes trivia every Tuesday night, monthly Salsa Nights, live music Thursdays, along with double-header Sunday entertainment of afternoon music and evening DJs. Plus, returning events including: monthly Monday “Yappy Hour” fundraisers with the PSPCA, special Wednesday performances by the Sensational Soul Cruisers, and DJs playing all weekend long. Morgan’s Pier has partnered with Tito’s Handmade Vodka and the PSPCA to bring you Yappy Hour – a monthly opportunity to bring your dog to drink and dine at the Pier. Bring your furry friends and join us at our themed Yappy hour. Get ready for an evening of vibes drinks, and furry fun! Don’t forget to dress up your pup in their best Hawaiian shirt or lei – or sport your best banada – for this year’s themes. There will be a prize to the best-dressed pooch. Proceeds from Yappy Hour will go towards the Pennsylvania SPCA along with other opportunities to donate.
Owned and operated by FCM Hospitality, Morgan’s Pier is an outdoor restaurant and the premiere waterfront beer garden against the backdrop of the Delaware River Waterfront. Named after George C. Morgan, the first person to cross the Ben Franklin Bridge, the “backyard beer garden” on Columbus Boulevard is an ideal spring, summer, and fall spot. In its inaugural season, Morgan’s Pier received the 2012 Excellence on the Waterfront Honor Award for Commercial Design from The Waterfront Center.
Morgan’s Pier will be open Mondays to Thursdays, 4:00 pm – 2:00 am, and Fridays to Sundays, Noon – 2 am, with kitchen service available daily from open until 10 PM.
