This Saturday, January 21 from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., Dilworth Park visitors are invited to celebrate Lunar New Year with a full schedule of entertainment, ice skating and giveaways! Presented by the Temple University, the free-to-attend event will offer something special for guests of all ages.
Entertainment will include a traditional Chinese dance routine from the Kun-Yang Lin/Dancers beginning at 6 p.m., followed by a prancing lion performance with the Philadelphia Suns at 6:45 p.m. Ice skating sessions on the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink will also be available throughout the evening. The Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin will be adorned in festive décor, including a Year of the Rabbit-inspired balloon arch and dozens of hanging lanterns. A special menu, including vegetable spring rolls and a dumpling sampler, will be offered in addition to the standard Cabin fare, including delicious cocktails made with Haku® Vodka and Maker’s Mark® Bourbon. Starting at 5 p.m., Temple University will be set up in the Cabin and will distribute lucky red envelopes containing secret prizes to the first 100 attendees.
