For Danielle Massi, a cervical cancer survivor, January is very important as it is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. Danielle and her virtual holistic wellness center, The Wellness Collective, are taking initiative this month by hosting several fundraising events in partnership with Nicole MCH Photography, Museum of Illusions Philadelphia, Alchemy X, and Wines ‘Til Sold Out to raise money for cervical cancer research.
Danielle’s unexpected cervical cancer diagnosis in 2018 put her on the path to prioritizing self-care and holistic healing.
“I opened The Wellness Collective in 2019 after healing from cervical cancer, a disease that completely changed everything that I had known about holistic care and healing. What I realized after my cancer battle was that there was a need for a one-stop shop for mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, and I sought to bring that dream to reality!” Danielle Massi, LMFT – CEO of The Wellness Collective
Danielle’s intent for The Wellness Collective is to encourage others to focus on maintaining their health and preventing potential illness or disease. One way she is doing this is by partnering with four businesses for Cervical Cancer Awareness Month in order to fundraise for the National Cervical Cancer Coalition (NCCC) of Philadelphia.
The Wellness Collective began the fundraising on Friday, January 6, as they partnered with Nicole MCH Photography, a Philadelphia-based photographer, for a charitable women in business networking event. Female business owners from the Philadelphia region came together to share skill sets and build valuable connections. All proceeds from ticket sales and donations made during the event went to the NCCC of Philadelphia.
Next, The Wellness Collective has teamed up with Museum of Illusions Philadelphia (401 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106) for a day of donations to cervical cancer research. On Wednesday, January 11, 20% of each MOI ticket sold will go to the NCCC of Philadelphia. Families and friends are welcomed to enjoy the world of illusions, experience the impossible, and donate to a great cause. Tickets are available to purchase on the Museum of Illusions website.
The Wellness Collective has also partnered with Alchemy X (1931 W. Passyunk Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19145) to present “Workout for Cervical Cancer.” On Saturday, January 14, Alchemy X will host a yoga class at 9 a.m. and a mat-pilates class at 10 a.m. in which all class proceeds will be donated to the NCCC of Philadelphia. Interested individuals can sign up for $25 on the Alchemy X website or using the direct sign-up link.
Finally, Wines ‘Til Sold Out (WTSO) is supporting The Wellness Collective’s fundraising efforts by hosting an online shop-to-support campaign during the month of January. When customers visit wtso.com/wellnessphl, they can choose from a hand-selected collection of wines at up to 70% off retail prices. These highly-rated wines are conveniently shipped directly to your door across the country. Donations are collected at checkout to be donated to the NCCC with options ranging from $5 to $20.
