Flying paint! Drums! Catching gumballs- a lot of gumballs! Encouraging the audience to meow and dance!

Where else can you have this much fun in Philly right now? You can’t.

Head to the Kimmel Cultural Campus Miller Theater where the iconic Blue Man Group is performing all new material at their first Philly tour stop in ten years! More than 50 million people have enjoyed this worldwide theatre experience since the group’s formation in 1980s. They’ve been a part of the arts scene in major cities like New York City, Boston and Chicago since the ’90s, but if you can’t get to any of those places soon to see them- you’re in luck this week in Philadelphia.

The show is absolute madness as the trio of blue men perform and engage an audience for a fast-paced 75 minutes. People of all ages will be mesmerized by the group’s silly antics and gestures. Their stage presence is impressive and you’ll be wowed the entire time. If being the center of attention is your thing, you might be one of the few lucky audience members who get pulled up on stage to participate in a Blue Man meet cute or to help a handful of rubber chickens make their performance debut. Expect the unexpected at Blue Man Group, you never know what they’ll do next.

It’s hard not to chuckle at their interactions with one another and with you too! Most of the Blue Man Group show is a “you had to be there” experience, so go! Oh and don’t be late- you may get called out by the entire theatre…but it’s okay because by the end of the night the crowd will seem more like friends than strangers. This show reminds us to come together and for a little over an hour you’ll share a unique experience with everyone else inside the Miller Theater walls. You’ll dance, chant, interact in a way that can only be done when you’re with the Blue Man Group.
