Halloween bites and cocktail ideas around Philadelphia

As Halloween approaches, you might be wondering where to go for some great spooky specials and themed cocktails. From the Black Widow drink at the Prime Rib in Live Casino Philadelphia to an annual Halloween bash at Manatawny Still Works, here are some ideas to add to your to-do list!


Manatawny Still Works 
Manatawny Still Works will be celebrating Halloween and the release of two new small batch products with their annual Halloween Party at all of their locations on Thursday, Oct. 29th  including their brand-new Ardmore tasting room. The original Pottstown location will exclusively host Hollie the Palm Reader who will be available for first come first served palm readings, the Wow Wagon Food Truck, and a dance party with DJ Waitaminute starting at 7:30 pm. All tasting rooms will feature a costume contest, spooky drinks, and highlight new small batch products: 

  • Batch Rum #10 Single Barrel Selection 
  • Four Grain Whiskey aged in Port Barrels 

Revolution Taco 
For Halloween, Revolution Taco will be offering a plethora of specials in the days leading up to the holiday as well as the day of. These specials include:  

  • Saturday, Oct. 24th– 1/2 priced ‘witches stew’ pumpkin chorizo soup 
  • Sunday, Oct. 25th– Free fried brownie bites with any order 
  • Monday, Oct. 26th– 10% off any order when customers mention #RevolutionTacoBoo on social media 
  • Tuesday, Oct. 27th– ½ off Halloween hot cocoa bombs and complimentary spiked hot chocolate for orders over $30 
  • Wednesday, Oct. 28th-Monday, Oct. 31st – Customers who wear a costume, post a picture tagging Revolution Taco, and use the hashtag #RevolutionTacoBoo on social media will automatically be entered in a raffle for the chance to win a $100 Revolution Taco voucher  

The Prime Rib at Live! Casino & Hotel will be featuring a themed cocktail coined The Black Widow: 

  • The Black Widow, bourbon, elderflower liquor, fresh lemon juice, ginger beer, bitters, and charcoal powder 

Sor Ynez 
For Halloween and Dia De Los Muertos, Sor Ynez will be celebrating with live music on Saturday, Oct. 29th from 7pm to 9pm as well as two specials being offered from Wednesday, Oct. 28th until Wednesday, Nov. 2nd

  • Flambeed Camote, Grilled sweet potato with marshmallows, piloncillo syrup, flambeed with Mezcal 
  • Enmolades, Queso fresco and chicken rolled in tortillas and smothered with mole sauce 

The Good King Tavern 
Philly Cider Week in the week leading up to Halloween, so for those celebrating a bit early, head over to The Good King Tavern for their annual event: “Cidre & Seafood Normandy Cave à Manger” on Wednesday, October 26th from 5pm to 8pm. Guests may expect an evening of a la carte cheese (think gooey Camembert) and oysters (from Brigantine Oyster Company) paired with traditional cidre of the North Atlantic French coastal towns of Normandy as well as the Loire Valley.
