Dilworth Park’s popular Hay Maze on the Greenfield Lawn is now open and will be up through Harvest Weekend, which begins this Friday, October 7 through Sunday, October 9. Attendance will be free for guests of all ages.
Harvest Weekend attendees can expect a full schedule of entertainment, including local bands and DJs, live pumpkin carving demonstrations and pumpkin painting for kids. Strolling performers, including scarecrow stilt walkers and magicians, will also make an appearance, as will the Temple University Spirit Squad and Pep Band. They will pop up on Friday, October 7 at 6 p.m. to welcome the return of Temple University sports with a performance of their famous fight song.
On Saturday, October 8, guests of all ages can take part in fresh cider making with an authentic apple press. Then at 4:15 p.m., visitors 21 and older are invited to participate in a stein-hoisting contest presented by Troeg’s Oktoberfest.
Food and drink options will be sold at multiple locations throughout the park. Delicious fall staples like bratwurst and Bavarian pretzels will be available alongside a selection of local and craft beer brands, including Troegs Oktoberfest and Michelob Ultra. Tasty cocktails made with Maker’s Mark bourbon and Haku Vodka will also be featured.
Planned in conjunction with Harvest Weekend, the Made in Philadelphia Fall Market will return with more than 60 local vendors. Treats, trinkets, handmade artwork and more will be showcased. Guests are encouraged to support these vendors while enjoying the weekend’s festivities.

Sunday, October 9: Jazz on the Parkway, Vibe-A-Delphia, 4 p.m.-6 p.m. / CRET PARK
Relax to the rhythm of jazz tunes on Sunday afternoons at Capriccio Café and Bar! Local jazz musicians will perform as you sip your favorite cocktail under the café’s shaded outdoor patio. Additional seating for non-café customers is available on the lawn areas of the park. These performances are supported with funds from the Music Performance Trust Fund, American Federation of Musicians, and Local 77.
