Celebrate your teams by cheering them on at Cavanaugh’s new location in Rittenhouse. Earlier this summer, the 1823 Samson Street spot closed its doors with plans to move just steps away to 1921 Samson Street.
Now officially open, you can enjoy the brand new space with sports viewing (that means lots of televisions!), happy hours, and a new pizza oven. You’ll find all your casual dining favorites on the menu, perfect for sharing or munching on as you cheer for your favorite teams. A kids menu is available too.
Here’s what my friends and I ate last night.

After another friend joined us (and I convinced her to also get the Stateside), we dug into our appetizers. All were perfect for sharing and we learned that the brussels sprouts- tossed in lemon parmesan- tastes great when you pair it with the artichoke dip! Try it!

The wings come in a couple sizes and flavors. The spinach and artichoke dip is absolutely a must. The brussels sprouts were perfect! Only regret- not getting the Cav’s nuggets (which can also be made vegetarian with seitan).

Come hungry! The sandwiches are big and come with your choice of fries, tots or pasta salad. You can also add soup as a side for an additional charge. A perfect lunch combination! Pictured here is the Southern fried chicken sandwich, the burger (with sugar cured bacon), and short rib grilled cheese. Some options can be made vegetarian too.
I mean… look at this beautiful burger!

Cavanaugh’s Rittenhouse is in such a great location. For me, I can grab happy hour and head to a show at Helium Comedy Club or even a short walk back to Broad Street for a show at the Kimmel Center. Last night, we headed over to Plays and Players Theater after dinner (about a 8 minute walk).
This is a really nice, large space for casual dining, getting together with friends, and of course watching those games! The menu has a variety and some unique items I look forward to trying next time like the spinach and falafel salad, skewers, and maybe a cheesesteak pizza! Fries and tots can be made loaded in a variety of styles too.
Thanks for having us, Cavanaugh’s!
