On Saturday, September 24, Souderton’s fresh and fun art festival, the Souderton Art Jam, is back for its 10th annual event! The festival, hosted by Souderton Connects, is celebrating its 10th year and has grown to over 40 artists and artisans from up and down the east coast. Visitors can dance the day away, grooving to live music by Sarah Heine, Jack O’Leary, Tuesday Night Special, and The Wonton Soups. Visitors can enjoy delicious beer, wine, and spirits from local vendors and tasty bites from food trucks, including Jam like Bake’n Bacon, Bonjour Creperie, Philly Funnel Cake, and Van Pelt Hot Dog Co. The Souderton Art Jam is a great way to get a taste of the Souderton art scene while discovering local galleries and a town full of public art.
The free event is rain or shine, and well-behaved dogs are welcome.
A juried art show also occurs during Souderton Art Jam, where exhibiting artists may enter a piece of work to be judged by a panel of art industry professionals. Monetary prizes are awarded in categories including Fine Art, Fine Craft, and Jewelry.
Live music located on Wile Avenue near the Souderton Pool entrance includes:
o Sarah Heine – 10 to 11 a.m.
o Jack O’Leary – 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
o Tuesday Night Special -12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
o The Wonton Soups – 3 to 5 p.m.
