As part of the “POPS ROCKS” series, POPS ROCKS The Moody Blues GO NOW! will explore the music of rock legends, The Moody Blues. Experience the magic of the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers with The Moody Blues’ 25-year touring drummer Gordy Marshall, longtime 10cc lead singer Mick Wilson, and GO NOW! – a supergroup of world-class musicians, singers, and songwriters, all dedicated to the meticulous recreation of the elegance of a Moody Blues concert.
For POPS ROCKS The Moody Blues GO NOW!, renowned guest conductor Michael Krajewski makes his return to the POPS stage to once again immerse audiences in his captivating musicality.
The premiere of Get Up, Stand Up: An Encyclopedia of Soul will be filled with top talent and an abundance of musical mastery. The show will feature renowned three-time Tony Award® nominated singer Joshua Henry.
Get Up Stand Up: An Encyclopedia of Soul explores America’s trademark rhythm and blues as Hamilton star Henry grooves through his very own encyclopedia of soul celebrating the sounds of funk, R&B, and soul.
Using top-notch vocals and the enticing rhythms of jazz, Henry will take audiences through the vivacious sounds of these beloved genres. Come celebrate the rich culture of smash hits like “Heard it Through the Grapevine,” “A Change is Gonna Come,” and “Let’s Get it On.”
Starring as Aaron Burr in the first U.S. tour of Hamilton, and garnering Tony nominations for his performance as Haywood Patterson in The Scottsboro Boys, Henry will bring all the charm and repertoire of a seasoned Broadway star. This summer, he stars as Rapunzel’s Prince in the all-star limited Broadway engagement of Into The Woods.
