Pop Up Gardens in Manayunk and on South Street in Center City are back! Both are large, beautiful spaces filled with seasonal flowers and plants. You’ll feel like you’re no longer in Philly as you enjoy food and drinks surrounded by gorgeous gardens and trees that capture the spirit of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.
Last week, I stopped by the Manayunk space (where I live) and it’s the perfect spot for families, friends, date nights, and it’s dog friendly! The pop up garden really is the place if you’re looking for an outdoor space to unwind. From a food and beverage menu filled with variety, ample seating, and even the ability to book private parties of all sizes- add the pop ups to your to-do list this year!
I decided to stop by for dinner with my three-year-old. The Manayunk location now has a new game room with foosball, Skee-Ball, basketball, a big bucket of chalk, and more. It’s totally friendly and free to play.

And because a couple of my friends were ready for a mid-week celebration, I invited them out too! There are so many tropical cocktails on the menu to add to your garden oasis experience. Though none of us ordered the Gritty Marg, it’s fitting for a Philly spot! You can customize the drinks by adding flavors and floaters too. Use the QR code to order on your phone- the tiki style menu is cute!

If cocktails aren’t your thing, there are plenty of seasonal beers (draft and cans), wine, seltzers, freeze pops (for adults!) and non-alcoholic options that are beyond just a soda.

We weren’t too adventurous with our food choices- but you can’t go wrong with a soft pretzel and some cheese curds! The menu also includes salads, appetizers and sandwiches. There are vegan burgers, chicken fingers and crab cakes too. The kids menu includes hot dog or grilled cheese.

I can’t wait to spend more evenings here with my friends and family! For more on the pop up gardens, events, and locations- visit the South Street website here or Manayunk here.
