Philadelphia pastry chef Abby Dahan of The Bake School has assembled some of the best pastry chefs in the city to help raise money for World Central Kitchen, whose current mission is to help Ukrainian refugees find comfort in a meal during their displacement. The bake sale will take place at Amanda Shulman’s Her Place Supper Club at 1740 Sansom Street in Rittenhouse on Sunday, March 6th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. or sellout.

Joining Dahan (who will be baking Levain Bakery style cookies) on Sunday at Her Place is Shulman and Zach Broadman (caramel and lemon choux buns), Monica Glass (gluten-free cookies and biscotti), Janine Bruno (Homemade by Bruno; Italian rainbow cookies), Alexandra Crossman (Bloomsday; mochi brownies, strawberry-matcha Neapolitan cookies, and Vietnamese coffee crisp treats), Alexandra Holt (Roxanne; basque cheesecake), Davina Soondum (Hey Sugar!; chocolate torrone bars), Veronica Martinez (Superset Sweets; snickerdoodle cookies, birthday cake donuts), Erica Pais (Paistries; chocolate crinkle cookies), Michal Shelkowitz (Vetri; citrus and olive oil cake), Ariel Einhorn (Parc; spelt olive sourdough), Katreena Kanney (K’Far; chocolate-tahina layer cake, Jewish apple crumb cake), and Stephanie Arbelo (Butcher & Singer; Oreo brownies and peanut butter pie).

“A small army of the best bakers in Philly are creating delicious baked goods while also raising money for people in the direst of circumstances,” said Dahan. “Anything that people can do to help people in Ukraine right now is our number-one goal, and I hope to see a great turnout for a good cause and for food that is good for the soul.”
