The inaugural Crave Montco Month kicks off July 1 across Montgomery County, featuring many of the area’s award-winning restaurants and Monto Makers (craft breweries, wineries, and distilleries). Appetizing meets affordable with this unique event that features offerings from over 70 restaurants and makers with additional participants added each day.

More ambitious and flavorful than a traditional restaurant week, Crave Montco Month is designed to highlight and generate additional business for the county’s eateries as they begin to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic. Throughout the month, restaurant-goers can receive over $700 in deals.

The 31-day culinary experience is created by the Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board (VFTCB) to showcase a month of food and drink discovery to those who are craving something new or a hometown favorite. From missed birthday and anniversary celebrations to nights out with friends, Crave Montco  Month is the time to dine out and dig in! For those looking to stay home, Crave Montco Month will also feature tasty to-go and takeout specials.

The mouthwatering Crave Montco Month will entice visitors to reengage with the local towns and Main Streets for future parties, date nights, and even weekend getaways. From Ambler and Ardmore to Pottstown and Lansdale and King of Prussia in between, guests will have their pick of unique cuisines, including American, Italian, Asian, Mexican, and Jamaican.

Participants for Crave Montco Month include Brothers Kershner Brewing Co. of Skippack, TreVi Winery of Glenside, Southern Cross Kitchen of Conshohocken, Fraschetta BYOB of Bryn Mawr, Five Saints Distilling of Norristown, and Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream of Royersford, among many others. The full list can be found HERE.

Specials and discounts range from a percentage or dollar amount off the bill and buy one get one free deals; to free desserts, appetizers, and cocktails. Each restaurant and maker has the ability to choose their own promotion, making participation simple for businesses that may not have the resources to create traditional restaurant week menus. Additionally, it is free for restaurants to participate.

Choosing to launch Crave Montco Month in July was a purposeful strategy from the VFTCB as a way to highlight these locally and family-owned businesses during a time when it would most benefit them. It is essential to remind residents and visitors that you don’t have to travel far this summer for a delicious meal; it can be found right in the towns and Main Streets of Montgomery County!

“We’re so excited to participate in Crave Montco Month and just move forward with celebrating with friends and family,” said Akiai Worthington, owner of Welcome to the Avenue in Pottstown. “July is such  perfect timing because it tends to be a slower month with vacations and shore trips. We so appreciate what the VFTCB is doing to help support the food and beverage industry.”

Whether you’re looking to get enchiladas and guacamole from a Latino-owned eatery, sip on a refreshing mimosa tower during Sunday brunch, or build your own bowl of authentic Indian cuisine, Crave Montco Month includes delicious discounts that will satisfy any craving. Be sure to make a  reservation (where accepted), as spots are booking up. And don’t forget to tip your servers!

A complete list of restaurants and their promotions can be found on the Visit Valley Forge app (free on the App Store and Google Play). The app must be shown to redeem Crave Montco Month offers at  participating locations. In addition, visitors can head to the Montco Makers app to check in and enter contests and giveaways throughout the month.  To increase awareness during the month of July, the VFTCB social media (@VisitValleyForge on Instagram and Facebook, and @VisitVF on Twitter) and website will highlight Black/Brown-owned, Asian-owned, female-owned, and LGBTQ-owned businesses, as well as romantic spots for date nights, brunch, family-friendly, and even pet-friendly dining options.
