Would you and a guest like to attend this year’s Hair O’ The Dog? It’s considered the longest-running black-tie affair in the country and attracts not only local but national celebrities, athletes, and media personalities. What’s Hair O’ The Dog you ask? Only one of the best parties here in Philadelphia. It was founded in 1994 by Daniel Cronin and Robert Molinaro, who are also the co-founders of Chorus Communications, a Technology Consulting firm located in Old City. The first Hair O’ The Dog was held at the former Tiki Club in King of Prussia. At that party, they decided that their love of fun, combined with their whip-smart business sense, could generate income for non-profits through fundraising.
Hair O’ The Dog was born. The founders were thrilled with the original 100 person turn out and each year since, this glamorous-gala has grown tremendously in both size and prominence. Past attendees include but are not limited to; NBC’s Meteorologist Sheena Parveen, Tony Bruno, Comedian Joe Conklin, former Governor Ed Rendell, Mob Wives Alicia DiMichele along with multiple Philadelphia Eagles players and Cheerleaders, Sixers and Flyers players. Held each year at an exclusive Philadelphia venue, a portion of the event proceeds are given to various local charities such as: Big Brothers And Big Sisters, The Garden of Reflection (PA’s official 9-11 memorial), The National Constitution Center, Habitat for Humanity, Project H.O.M.E., Friends of Memorial Hall Fund, the Sunshine Foundation, The Great Guy Group, The Bethesda Project, Friends Are By Your Side, The Claddagh Fund, THON, and Bianca’s Kids.
This year, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Center for Autism, a non-profit organization founded in 1955 by renowned child psychiatrist Dr. Bertram A. Ruttenberg. It’s the oldest autism treatment center in the country and a leading provider of services in the Philadelphia region today.
Hair O’ The Dog 2018 has an exciting line of up entertainment! Hailed for their infectious dance-pop original tracks, vibrant remix productions, as well as their energetic live DJ sets on festival main stages and clubs around the world, Cash Cash will welcome Hair O’ The Dog partygoers. In addition, the official Disc Jockey of the Philadelphia 76ers, DJ GHOST will hype up the crowd and heat up the Hair O’ The Dog stage for this year’s exciting line up of entertainment, including internationally acclaimed dance music sensation Cash Cash, DJ SOJO, and DJ Casper. DJ GHOST hits the court and performs energizing mixes and beats to basketball fans alike, appearing at every Sixers home game. Ghost has been releasing his catchy remixes for over eighteen years, touring with many platinum and gold selling artists, such as Snoop Dog, and VASSY, who performed at the 23rd Annual Hair O’ the Dog.
