I was so happy to spend a beautiful December evening at Bryn Mawr College’s Goodhart Hall to witness one of the Philly’s consistently amazing dance companies, BalletX. This one-weekend only winter series from Philadelphia’s premier contemporary ballet showcased a variety of choreographers and dance styles in an intimate setting.
The fascinating performance earlier this month brought back to of my personal favorite showcases- Loughlan Prior’s Macaroni and Big Wig by Marguerite Donlan. Five shorter performances were also included in this show, all choreographed by the dancers.
From breathtaking, heartfelt movements to quirky, fun and energetic, BalletX is a must-see. Next Series takes place at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre from February 12-16. Experience world premieres by former company dancer Caili Quan and Gregory Dawson, as well as the return of a Nicolo Fonte favorite. Get your tickets now and give them a follow!
