Little Walter’s, Philadelphia’s new contemporary Polish restaurant and bar from Chef/Owner Michael Brenfleck and recently acclaimed in The New York Times’ The Restaurant List 2024for 50 Favorite Places in America Right Now, is thrilled to announce its first ever collaborative pairing dinner titled Obiad z Miodem with My Local Brew Works, America’s first custom craft brewery, slated for Monday, November 4 with a focus on pairing hyper-seasonal Polish dishes with a variety of custom fermented mead.
Located nearby Little Walter’s in the Frankford neighborhood of Philadelphia housed in the iconic Globe Dye Works building, My Local Brew Works takes a multifaceted approach to nano brewing with three areas of business – contract brewing with authenticity, the ability to develop specialty beers for social and fundraising events, and direct-to-public brewing. What makes My Local Brew Works so unique is its ability to craft multiple beers of varying styles, flavor profiles and strength, from a single original mash. This style of brewing beer also translates into fermenting mead, also known as “honey wine”, providing a vast selection of flavors such as passionfruit, mango, and blueberry that are designed to pair perfectly with Brenfleck’s Polish cuisine.
For one-night-only on Monday, November 4, mead-enthusiasts and novices alike can enjoy a five-course pairing dinner led by Brenfleck and team at Little Walter’s (2049 E Hagert St) with seatings at 5:30pm and 8pm. We had fun exploring mead’s long history in Eastern Europe.”
