Theatre by Development (TBD) is proud to present NO BREAKFAST, playing the weekend of October 24-26th, 2024 at the Black Box in Vox Populi Gallery (319 N 11th St #3, Philadelphia, PA 19107). The original work follows three students trapped in eternal detention… because what’s worse than hell? High school.
A late night comedy show written by TBD’s co-founder, Andrew Miqueli, NO BREAKFAST follows a bad boy, a mean girl, and the new girl in school are stuck in detention.. In true high school fashion– anxiety, identity crises, and boners hide between the bookshelves. It’s not another teen movie… it’s the prom night baby of No Exit and the Breakfast Club directed by Max Segarnick.
NO BREAKFAST has been workshopped and developed by TBD over the past year, culminating in its premiere this Halloween with a cast featuring Maddy Gillespie, Garrett Grimes, Bria Francesca, and Sarah “Bash” Bastian as the Principal and demon, Hymon.
The show opens October 24th, with 7pm evening shows every night until closing night on October 26th. There will also be a 9:30pm late night performance on Friday the 25th. Each performance will feature an opening drag performance by local Philadelphia drag queen, CINNA$LUT.

THEATER BY DEVELOPMENT was founded by Monti Cerabino and Andrew Miqueli. Monti and Andrew met in their undergrad theater program where they worked alongside their future Production Manager, Lindsey Silver, and consistently lent hands to create new work. The first piece these artists collaborated on was a satirical comedy based on the Manson Family Cult for a new play festival in 2019. The first professional piece they all collaborated on was a satirical comedy based on the kidnapping of Patty Hearst for a Philly-based play festival in 2023. With the insatiable hunger to create and collaborate, it only felt a natural progression to provide a platform for other artists, produce more work, and officialize our partnership. TBD believes that in championing new voices and work, we will also be able to reward new audience members with new experiences.
