Loomen Labs, a BYOB scent and floral bar in Queen Village, opened its doors on September 18, 2021, and has been attracting locals and tourists ever since. Founder Jordan Lee Cook is excited to celebrate her company’s anniversary and welcome the fall season with a meet & greet event and new seasonal fragrances.
For the past three years, Jordan has enjoyed teaching guests how to create their own scents through candle-making and perfume-making. Her passion for creating unique fragrances was sparked after a failed DIY project for Mother’s Day.
“I wanted to gift my mom a handmade candle, but it was a complete mess. I didn’t have the proper ingredients or tools,” says Jordan Lee Cook, Founder and CEO of Loomen Labs. “From there, I took it upon myself to become an expert on all things fragrance and provide others with the resources they need to craft their own candles and perfumes.”
After opening Loomen Labs in 2021, Jordan took the opportunity to expand her business by adding bouquet-making to her list of experience offerings. Guests can also make their own planter during their reservation.
On the third anniversary of Loomen Labs, Wednesday, September 18, 2024, the shop will be open from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. for visitors to speak with Jordan and learn about the company and its sustainability efforts. Guests can also leave with a sample fragrance of their own!
In preparation for the fall season, Jordan is adding new seasonal fragrances to the Loomen Labs inventory. The new scents include:
- Cinnamon Chai
- Persimmon + Clove buds
- Apple Maple Bourbon
- Pumpkin Spice
The neighborhood scents that will be highlighted this season are:
- Fishtown
- Kensington
- Girard Estates
