September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, and the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation is hosting different activities and activations to raise awareness and funds to advance research. Help spread awareness with Wear Teal Day on September 6, iconic Philadelphia buildings turning teal, and Ovarian Cancer Night at the Phillies on September 13.
As teal is the color of ovarian cancer, the SROCF invites everyone to join in on Wear Teal Day on Friday, September 6, 2024, to help spread awareness. The foundation will also be lighting buildings in Philadelphia teal throughout September. The teal lights can be seen:

The SROCF is also hosting their annual Ovarian Cancer Awareness Night at the Philadelphia Phillies game against the New York Mets on Friday, September 13, 2024, at Citizens Bank Park. A portion of the ticket sales will benefit the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation when purchased through this link. The foundation is looking forward to a night filled with baseball, fundraising, and fun! On September 20, the foundation will also host an Ovarian Cancer Awareness Night at the Dodgers in Los Angeles, California.
There is currently no screening for ovarian cancer which makes awareness of the disease a huge factor in prevention and survival. Ovarian cancer is not an uncommon disease, occurring in 1 of every 78 women, and is the most deadly of the gynecologic cancers. The SROCF aims to inform and bring awareness to the disease in hopes of one day living in a world without ovarian cancer.
