Get ready for a one-of-a-kind experience for the whole family as Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live Glow Party comes to the Wells Fargo Center on August 24th and 25th. Watch your favorite trucks, including the brand new Skelesaurus, as they crush cars, perform high flying stunts, and witness the fire-breathing dragon Arcticgon. Below, driver Taylor Holman – an ER nurse when she isn’t on the road- tells us a bit about Skelesaurus, her role in the show, and her favorite parts of the Glow Party Tour.

Q: Tell us a bit about your background, your truck and what you do in the show.
A: I drive the brand new Skelesaurus. During the week I am a pediatric ER nurse in a level 1 emergency department. On the weekends, I get to perform for all of the Hot Wheels fans with all of my family. I have been around monster trucks since I was little because my dad and my uncle also drive and now drive on one of the other Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live tours. I met my husband about eight years ago and became more involved with the trucks. Eventually, I was able to get in the seat and drive alongside him and his father.
Q: What does a typical show day look like for you?
A: Typically a show day for me includes making sure that the trucks are ready to crush cars. We usually have three shows in one weekend – two on Saturday, one on Sunday. Because I drive the brand new truck, we have a VIP option when you purchase tickets so you can come backstage to meet me and one of the FMX riders. After the VIP experience, I typically head to the locker room to work on school work as I am also in school obtaining my bachelor’s degree. After we do shows, we “nut and bolt” (make sure everything is nice and tight), and do any maintenance to the trucks that is needed, grab some lunch and start all over for the second show. On Sunday after our shows, we load everything back up into trailers and head back to the shop or to the next show.
Q: Do you have a fun piece of trivia about the show or the trucks that you can share with us?
A: Our shows consist of four competitions – wheelies, donuts, long jump, and freestyle. Right before intermission, the fans will get to experience Arcticgon, our fire-breathing ice dragon, as he tears apart one of the crush cars!
Q: Aside from your own truck, do you have a favorite stunt or scene in the performance?
A: Hot Wheels fans will also get to watch our amazing freestyle motocross riders fly through the air doing their best and craziest tricks, which is my personal favorite, other than driving my own truck!
