Beginning September 26, the Philadelphia-based theater company The Wilma Theater, recipient of the 2024 Tony Award for Best Regional Theatre, welcomes TheaterWorksUSA’s family-friendly, NY Times Critic’s Pick, Dog Man: The Musical, based on the popular book series by Dav Pilkey. The touring musical is set to run in the Wilma’s 300-seat theater from September 26 to October 15. Wilma subscribers can secure pre-sale tickets beginning August 1, and are eligible for a $5 discount on tickets purchased after August 15. General tickets are available to the public beginning August 15. Mackabee (Broadway’s The Elephant Man; Guards at the Taj, Lucille Lortel Award), costume design by Heidi Leigh Hanson (Regional: The Addams Family Musical, How I Learned to Drive), lighting design by David Lander (Broadway’s The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical; Benghal Tiger at the Bagdad Zoo, Drama Desk Award) and sound design by Emma Wilk (NY: The Waiting Game, Regional: The Heiress).
