Celebrate National Tequila Day Tomorrow, July 26th, With Hi-Lo Taco + Milagro Tequila

In celebration of National Tequila Day, Midtown Village’s Tex-Mex Taco spot, Hi-Lo Taco, will be partnering with Milagro to host their first official neighborhood BBQ on July 26th from 6-9pm!

This free-to-attend (pay as you go) event includes:

  • Specialty Milagro Tequila cocktails
  • One-night-only pit-smoked BBQ serving up Brisket, Sausage and Ribs
  • Boozy Tequila Popsicles
  • Swag Giveaways
  • Games & more

And if you can’t make it on Friday, be sure to stop in soon to try some of their unique tacos. Earlier this week we made a visit and here are some of the menu items we ate!

Come hungry! There are so many tacos to choose from, including six breakfast style varieties that are available all day. We ordered two pineapple pulled pork, steak fajita, smash burger, and mushroom asada. You can get them on corn tortillas too, just ask!

Hi-Lo has a great list of cocktails and plenty of tequila-based drinks. The margs are fantastic, and the ranch water is a must- definitely ad the “splash” of flavor. We tried prickly pear. Wines, beer and some zero-proof options are also on the menu.

Of course we ordered chips and guac, but a few other shared plates are never a bad idea. Hi-Lo has fajita bowls, Mexi-Cali bowls, and salads. We got the Big Bowl Salad with shrimp. For wings, we tried the spicy macha. Very flavorful!

Save room for dessert! The funnel cake is from Fox & Son Fair Foods. If you aren’t familiar with this Reading Terminal Market spot, their entire menu is gluten free. It pairs really well with the Hi-Lo Espressotini No. 43, made with tequila and Licor 43!
