On June 29, the 10th annual Brews & Bites twilight tasting event at Pennsbury Manor will kick off the Independence Day holiday week. Held al fresco at the idyllic riverfront home of Pennsylvania’s founder William Penn, this sunset fundraiser from 4-8 p.m. features local beer tasting, food trucks, and live music by classic rock / Motown band August.
This event supports high-quality educational tours and programming at Pennsbury Manor for more than 10,000 school children annually.

- 17th century beer brewing demonstrations by brewers in period attire
- Tastings of three historic recipe beers made by Pennsbury’s Brewing Club:
- Gulielma Penn’s Apple Beer
- March Beer (peas and oatmeal give this a brew a wheat beer vibe)
- Pepper & Coriander Spiced Beer (a dark beer with a pleasantly peppery finish)

This is a 21+ event. $40 tickets include unlimited drink sampling; $20 tickets that come with unlimited water and soft drinks are available for designated drivers.
