While the summer months are the best time to enjoy time outdoors, it is no secret that added sun exposure can lead to damaging effects on the skin. During National Skin Cancer Awareness Month, dtXfy is recognizing the importance of skin health by promoting their red light therapy services, which can help combat sun damage. Throughout the month, they plan to donate a portion of their red light therapy profits to a local nonprofit, the Tara Miller Melanoma Foundation.

Red light therapy (RLT) is a noninvasive treatment that aims to regenerate cells and restore cell function using photobiomodulation, a low-level laser therapy that delivers red and near-infrared light to areas of the body.

In recent years, red light therapy has grown in popularity as an effective skin treatment, gaining attention from celebrities and influencers who have incorporated it into their daily routine. Now more than ever, RLT can be a helpful tool in treating and combating sun damage during the summer season.

“When I started the dtXfy studios in Manayunk and Wayne, I knew I wanted red light therapy to be one of our core services. Countless studies have proven the immense benefits of red light therapy, and how it can, in fact, help to repair sun damage,” says Denise Lehmann, Founder and owner of dtXfy.

In honor of National Skin Cancer Awareness Month, dtXfy is donating a portion of proceeds from every purchase of a red light therapy session during the month of May. The money will go to the Tara Miller Melanoma Foundation, a local foundation dedicated to melanoma research.
