One of the most beloved movies of the 1990s comes to the stage! Can you ever have too much Mrs. Doubtfire? No! Who wouldn’t want to have someone like her in their life? The best part- Philly’s own Rob McClure reprises the Tony-nominated Broadway role as Daniel Hillard/Mrs. Doubtfire and his performance is NOT TO BE MISSED!

The tour also includes Maggie Lakis (Rob’s real-life wife) as a perfect Miranda Hillard. Aaron Kaburick as Daniel’s brother Frank, Nik Alexander as brother-in-law Andrew, and Romelda Teron Benjamin as social worker Wanda Sellner re-create hilarious scenes from the movie. And the rotating cast of Hillard children give us a great earworm with “What the Hell” (Giselle Gutierrez as Lydia is phenomenal).

The show is filled with fun songs that stretch the movie’s plot for the Broadway stage. “Make Me a Woman”, “He Lied to Me”, and “Easy Peasy” feature a lot of action and moves. Keep your eyes on the stage for these numbers! In the musical, Miranda Hillard is a fashion designer, so get ready for her, along with Mrs. Doubtfire(!), to rock the runway with “The Shape of Things to Come”.

Again, Philly… Rob McClure as Doubtfire is a must, and you only have until February 18th to witness his theatre magic on stage. From impressions, to physical comedy, quick changes, a DJ session…there’s so much energy radiating from this performance. He takes audiences on an emotional rollercoaster as a loving dad who just wants the best for his kids. And he’ll make all of us laugh (and cry) along the way.

Plus, who doesn’t want to see ten Doubtfires in a dance sequence with Austin Powers? No, I’m serious. That’s a thing that happens too in this heartwarming musical comedy.

Mrs. Doubtfire is in Philly at The Academy of Music. Tickets here.
