If you want to turn your dry January into a damp one… we won’t judge! There’s no shortage of thirst-quenching options across the Philly area to break the drinking fast. But, here are a few spots to consider if you want to make your break really worth it…

Continental Midtown: As of late December 2023, Starr Restaurants’ Continental Midtown announced a brand new cocktail menu designed in partnership with Unfiltered Hospitality, a collective of obsessive bar operators, award-winning mixologists and the brains behind nationally renowned cocktail menus at Miami hotspots The Broken Shaker, The Sylvester, The Standard and more. In this new era, Continental Midtown’s cocktail menu features nine new martinis and six creative twists on classic cocktails that takes imbibers on a sensory journey with unexpected flavors and visually appealing presentations. Such is the case with the new “Cosmo Spacely”, a spin on a traditional Cosmopolitan made with vodka, triple sec, acidified white cranberry juice and citrus bitters. At Home On Your Couch: Whip up a cocktail with PA locally made Union Forge Vodka! Distilled and bottled at the oldest operating distillery in the state – Charles Jacquin’s et. Cie out of Kensington – Union Forge is sold at all PA Fine & Wine and Spirits stores.

Natty Blue Blitz – 2 oz. Union Forge Vodka, 2 oz Blue Curacao, ½ oz. Simple Syrup, Fresh Lime Juice, Club Soda. In a shaker with ice, combine Union Forge vodka, Blue Curacao, Simple Syrup and a Splash of Lemon Juice. Shake well & strain into a highball glass filled with ice. Top with club soda & garnish with a lemon wheel

Espresso Martini – 1.5 oz Union Forge Vodka, 1 oz. Coffee Liqueur, 1 oz. cold brew coffee,  ½ oz. Hazelnut Liqueur, ¼ oz. Simple Syrup. Ad UF vodka, coffee liqueur, cold brew coffee, hazelnut liqueur and simple syrup to a shaker filled with ice. Shake vigorously for 10-15 sections to chill the mixture. Strain into a chilled martini glass & sprinkle nutmeg on top then sip & savor!
