Giving and receiving gifts is one of the most joyous parts of the holiday season, however, an unwanted present can be disappointing and collect dust on a shelf for months or even years! Dock Street Brewing Company has a solution. Philadelphia’s original woman-owned and family-run craft brewery founded in 1985 is hosting an Unwanted Gift Swap at its taproom Dock Street Fishtown (1229 N. Front Street) on Thursday, January 4th from 5 pm to 8 pm.
Any and all Philadelphians on the receiving end of an undesirable gift are invited to Dock Street Fishtown for the ultimate trading event. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure, after all. All unwanted gifts are welcome, from the malodorous candle to the bad romance novel to that fifth pair of fuzzy socks. Guests can trade with other attendees while enjoying a selection of Dock Street beers, cocktails and, for those who are participating in Dry January, mocktails.
The event is free to attend. All food and beverage is PAYG.
For those unable to attend on January 4th, Dock Street Fishtown will be hosting swap events every first Thursday for the next few months including a Board Game Swap on February 1st, Clothing Swap on March 7th and Plant Swap on April 4th.
