Butcher Bar, the Rittenhouse hub for American comfort food, grilled fare, and an expansive brown spirits collection, is the ultimate destination to ring in the New Year. Programming begins on New Year’s Eve with an all-day Eagles Watch Party and Inclusive Brunch (because cheering on the Birds never takes a holiday), followed by a post-game feast for large groups looking to take on the iconic Trough (which comes with a complimentary bottle of bubbly)! The following day, parade-goers and hangover-deniers can toast to 2024 with overflowing cocktails at the Rittenhouse locale’s New Year’s Day “Top It Off” Brunch, and carry right on through to dinner service. Reservations can be made online, and are required for brunch (must be made 24 hours in advance) and the Trough (must be made 48 hours in advance).
The Rittenhouse bar and restaurant is kicking off its New Year’s bonanza with an all-inclusive Eagles Watch Party Brunch ($48/person). Football fanatics can enjoy overflowing Mimosas, Bloody Marys, and featured Margaritas, in addition to the loaded Cheesesteak Breakfast Burrito, mile-high stacks of pancakes, indulgent Cinnamon Sugar French Toast Bites, and more, all while watching the game in the enclosed, heated Patio bar. After the game, groups of up to eight can keep the festivities going during dinner service by digging into the Trough ($350), toppling with Nashville Hot Fried Game Hen, IPA sausages, baby back ribs, royale sliders, chef’s choice of meat, house-smoked bacon, smoked chicken wings, roasted bone marrow, lamb Milanese, and house-cut parmesan truffle fries. Plus, on New Year’s Eve, every Trough comes with a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine to toast to 2024! Reservations can be made online, and are required for brunch (must be made 24 hours in advance) and the Trough (must be made 48 hours in advance).
“Whether folks are pre-gaming an evening of partying, cheering on the Eagles, or enjoying a dinner with family and friends, Butcher Bar is the place to be on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day,” commented Chef John Strain. “We can’t wait to welcome in all of our neighborhood friendlies and tourists alike to ring in 2024!”
What better way to start 2024 than with brunch? Guests can enjoy a leisurely morning (and afternoon) by indulging in Butcher Bar’s New Year’s Day ‘Top It Off’ Brunch, which will be served from 11 am – 2:30 pm (see full menu offerings online here). Whether Philadelphians plan to attend the Mummers Parade, cure a hangover, or relax with family or friends, Butcher Bar’s all-inclusive, pre-fixe brunch makes for the perfect way to welcome in the New Year. Reservations can be made online, and must be made 24 hours in advance. Following, dinner service will ensure from 4pm until close (8pm).
“Typically, our brunch is offered exclusively on Saturdays and Sundays, but to start 2024 off right, we’re hosting a very special New Year’s Day ‘Top It Off’ Brunch,” said General Manager and Beverage Director Michael Marino. “We’ll have everything you need to recover from the night before, including sweet and savory brunch favorites, as well as overflowing cocktails.”
Butcher Bar will be open on New Year’s Eve from 11:30am – 10 pm, and on New Year’s Day from 11 am – 8 pm.
