48 Record Bar, the new high-tech listening room and cocktail bar perched above Old City’s legendary Sassafras, invites audiophiles, cocktail enthusiasts, and holiday revelers to their Second Annual Holiday Vinyl Market, on Friday, December 22 and Saturday, December 23 from 12 – 5pm. This holiday market marks the first of its kind held in the freshly minted space at 48 S. 2nd Street since opening in early December.
Attendees at 48 Record Bar’s Second Annual Holiday Vinyl Market can expect to browse hundreds of hand-selected, new vinyl records for sale, spanning genres such as jazz, soul, rock, and folk, and including music from all over the world. To amplify the experience, pay-as-you-go food and drink will be available courtesy of Sassafras, and 48 Record Bar’s top-of-the-line, ultra-high fidelity sound system will cement the cool and cozy yuletide atmosphere with richly recorded, crystal clear music (holiday classics to be expected). 48 Record Bar will open for standard service immediately following the vinyl market on both nights.
The second annual Holiday Vinyl Market arrives on the heels of 48 Record Bar’s official launch on Wednesday, December 6th. 48 Record Bar is open Wednesday through Saturday from 5pm – 2am. 48 Record bar also hosts a diverse array of special programming, such as listening parties and small-format live music. Tickets to these events are required and can be purchased in advance HERE.
Vinyl enthusiasts and aficionados can also get excited for 48 Record Bar’s membership program. Several tiers of membership are offered, granting access to a record of the month club, member’s only events, and other exciting events. Please note that that there is currently a freeze on new memberships due to overwhelming demand.
