Philly food lovers are in for a treat this December, thanks to a famous restaurant franchise coming to the City of Brotherly Love. Known for its innovative creations and dining experience, Brooklyn Dumpling Shop will open its first Philadelphia location on December 20, 2023, at 308 South St, Philadelphia, PA 19147. The store’s opening is a huge accomplishment, bringing their iconic dumplings to Philadelphia’s thriving food scene. With a commitment to flavor and customer satisfaction, Brooklyn Dumpling Shop is excited to become the newest addition to Philadelphia’s dining scene.
Brooklyn Dumpling Shop began in East Village and has been known nationwide for changing the customer dining experience. Created by entrepreneur and restauranter Stratis Morfogen, Brooklyn Dumpling Shop is rooted in each city’s culinary scene while drawing inspiration from its original shop in New York. The restaurant is also unique in its approach to creating and distributing dumplings. The shop utilizes a cutting-edge automat system, originally debuted in Philadelphia in 1888, that distributes a variety of handcrafted dumplings at the touch of a button, providing a seamless and easy dining experience.
Philadelphia residents Alex Flack, Nick Sordoni, and Stephen Hudacek were eager to join the Philadelphia food scene. Embracing their roots, the decision to expand to Philadelphia was a natural choice for them. “We are beyond excited to bring Brooklyn Dumpling Shop’s signature specialty dumplings, bowls, burgers, and more to the people of Philadelphia. The Philly restaurant community is second to none. We are honored to be a part of it and can’t wait to share our unique take on dumplings and more with all of you! The restaurant chose South Street for its newest location due to its welcoming atmosphere and community. They will be open Sunday through Wednesday from 11 AM to 11 PM and Thursday through Saturday from 11 AM to 2 AM to customers looking for an afternoon snack or a late-night bite. From their classic dumplings to the more creative options, Brooklyn Dumpling Shop has something for everyone. The South Street opening is just the beginning for the popular dumpling chain, and they look forward to expanding even further into Philadelphia and providing dumplings for everyone around the city.
