Red Owl Tavern, the contemporary kitchen and bar located across from Independence Hall in Old City, invites locals and visitors alike to unwrap the magic of the season and join in for Happy Owl-idays, a day full of festive fare and fun, slated for Sunday, December 10 from 11am – 2pm. Guests can reserve a spot to participate in spirited festivities, delightful treats, and more, as the restaurant turns into a holiday wonderland with special guest appearances from Santa and his elves. Happy Owl-idays will be hosted in the Kimpton Hotel Monaco in the Main Lafayette ballroom, and children in attendance will receive a warm mug of hot chocolate upon arrival before diving into an array of hands-on holiday craft activities such as cookie decorating, ornament designing, holiday picture frame making, and, of course, photos with Santa and his elves. For the parents and guardians joining in the merrymaking, a holiday pop-up bar will be fully stocked with pay-as-you-go specialty cocktails.

“Holiday festivities are a huge part of what make this time of the year so memorable, and we are excited to be a part of these traditions by hosting our own celebration,” said Peter DeLone, Food and Beverage Director of Red Owl Tavern. “We are super enthusiastic for Happy Owl-idays because it caters to both children and adults, making it a fun experience for everyone.”

Tickets to Happy Owl-idays are $20 per child (parent’s admission included), and are available to purchase via EventBrite. For those who wish to keep the merriment going and indulge in a bountiful brunch afterwards, tickets to both Happy Owl-idays and brunch at Red Owl Tavern are $30 per person and available to purchase via OpenTable. Diners who wish to experience Happy Owl-idays after eating in Red Owl Tavern can do so for $8 per child.
