The Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History (The Weitzman) will host its inaugural Hanukkah Makers Market on November 19.

This new holiday shopping event will feature some of the delightful Museum Store’s top artisans and creators. They’ll pop up to showcase and sell their products, just in time for the gift-giving season.

“This Hanukkah season, The Weitzman will be creating moments for our community to gather – to reflect on and celebrate our Jewish identities,” said Kristen Kreider, the Weitzman’s Managing Director of Business Operations, and curator of the store. “The Hanukkah Makers Market gives Philadelphians a fun opportunity to support Jewish makers and our Museum, while preparing for this important and joyful holiday.”

Adding to the festive atmosphere will be fresh baked goods for sale from Second Daughter Baking Company (known for their “Best of Philly” fudge brownies) along with free hot apple cider and apple filled sufganiyot (doughnuts) for the first 40 guests, thanks to Neuman’s Kitchen.

There is no cost to attend and the Museum Store will offer a gift with purchases, while supplies last. All Museum Store proceeds benefit the Museum’s mission to teach the powerful and true stories of Jewish life in America as an antidote to antisemitism.
