Ski-lodge Inspired Pop Up Returns to Assembly Rooftop Lounge this Week

Assembly Rooftop Lounge, The Logan Hotel’s year-round swanky rooftop cocktail bar and lounge, is transforming into Alpine Heights at Assembly, a modern ski lodge-inspired pop-up boasting hot cocktails, comfort food, themed décor, cozy blankets, blazing fire pits and heaters galore, and a happy hour paired with one of the city’s best views – from Thursday, November 9, 2023 to Tuesday, February 29, 2024.

Assembly Rooftop Lounge is going north for the holidays and beyond with Alpine Heights at Assembly, offering guests a winter lodge experience and unparalleled views right here in Philadelphia. Open every day of the week, guests can cozy up to one of four beautiful fire pits and toast the winter season with a boozy hot chocolate, or some sweet fondue for a fun après-work or dinner respite. In preparation for the dropping temperatures ahead, Assembly is coming prepared with additional standing and tabletop heaters to keep guests extra comfortable.

“We’re looking forward to bringing Alpine Heights back to Assembly Rooftop Lounge for the Winter season,” said Abigail Remington, General Manager of Assembly Rooftop Lounge. “Our team will transform the expansive space into a dream winter destination where guests can cozy up, enjoy warm dishes and libations, whilst taking in the spectacular views from our rooftop space.”

A reimagined winter menu from Executive Chef Sonny Ingui is sure to give guests a big warm hug, featuring some highlights including:

  • Cheese ($18) / curated selections, cranberry beer jam, Marcona almonds, house-made cracker
  • Charcuterie ($17) / curated selections, whole grain Dijon mustard, red sauerkraut, house-made cracker
  • Friseé aux Lardons ($15) / friseé, crispy bacon lardons, toasted baguette, egg yolk jam, hardboiled egg, whole grain dijonette
  • Gruyere & Onion Dip ($15) / baguette toasts
  • Salmon Cakes ($16) / sauce gribiche, fried capers
  • Bavarian Smash Burger ($16) / Emmenthaler cheese, grilled onions, mustard aioli, pretzel bun, cornichon
  • Short Rib Rosti ($18) / Bourguignon short rib, pomme rosti, hoseradish crème fraiche, mosto cotto
  • Dark Chocolate Fondue ($16) / coconut marshmallows, palmiers, raspberry linzer cooker
  • Chocolate Banana Purse ($13) / phyllo, hazelnut, vanilla rum anglaise

With the addition of a dedicated pizza oven, the summer seasonal fan-favorite Oyster Bar will be transformed into a pizza bar offering freshly baked flat breads still hot from the fire. The decadent ski-lodge inspired menu is accompanied by a list of all-new seasonal cocktails, including twists on Assembly mainstays:

  • Solstice Spritz ($18) / Absolut Citron vodka, Aperol, lemon, wildberry simple, sparkling wine
  • Mount-Hattan ($19) / Rittenhouse Rye, Braulio, honey
  • Evergreen Elixir ($17) / Bahnez Mezcal, Beefeater Gin, matcha, simple, lemon, egg white
  • Love At Frost Sight ($19) / Evan Williams Bourbon, yellow chartreuse, Cynar, lemon 
  • Rose Gold Margarita ($17) / rose petal infused El Jimador Reposado, dry curacao, agave, lime juice

For those looking to get extra cozy, the cocktail menu will also feature hot libations, including the firepit staple Liquid Love ($18), made with Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey, ganache hot chocolate and Chantilly cream; Alpine Floral Toddy ($16),withEvan Williams Bourbon and fall spiced mulled apple cider; and Spiced Mulled Wassail ($16), built with Cruzan Aged Dark Rum, Maggie’s Farm Falernum, lemon, hibiscus tea and simple syrup. Early birds can catch Assembly’s happy hour between 4 and 5 pm for discounted cocktails and bites.

Assembly Rooftop Lounge is open for walk-ins based on availability as well as reservations here. Larger parties (7+ people) can also reserve one of Assembly’s pods at $200 F&B minimum per hour. Pod reservations can be made by emailing info@assemblyrooftop.com.
