City Cruises Philadelphia recently announced new fall dining and cocktail menus, celebrating the flavors of fall and winter with hearty dishes and regionally inspired recipes. Guests will enjoy new menus across all Signature brunch and dinner offerings, both of which will run through the fall and winter seasons.
“Experiencing Philadelphia in a unique way is part of what makes our cruises so special and we wanted to complement that experience with memorable dishes and cocktails inspired by the city,” says Chad Barth, City Cruises’ Vice President of Food & Beverage, who oversaw the creation of each menu in collaboration with the local team.
Each menu will promote a sense of place, drawing on local flavors and traditions. Highlights of the fall dinner buffet include Birria-style chicken, Caribbean Jerk-braised pork, and hand-carved tri-tip steak, complemented by roasted fall vegetables, tri-colored potatoes, and brussels sprouts, along with a variety of fresh salads. For dessert, guests will enjoy baked apple crisp with cinnamon and a gluten-free crumble topping in addition to City Cruises’ signature dessert station.
The brunch menu features assorted local pastries, classic breakfast meats like applewood smoked bacon, and French toast, as well as “late riser” dishes like Birria-style chicken and oven-roasted salmon, a tri-tip steak carving station, and assorted salads and desserts.
The cocktail menu includes classic favorites like the All Hands on Deck, made with Hennessey V.S. Cognac, Cruzan aged light rum, and refreshing fruit juices, a Bold Fashioned made with bourbon, fig syrup, and cocoa bitters, and the Island Escape inclusive of two types of rum, pineapple juice, and ginger puree.
“We are thrilled to offer new menus that embody the fall and winter seasons,” says Ryan O’Connor, General Manager. “Fall is a beautiful time to cruise, and thanks to our climate-controlled interiors, we can offer the unique experience of dining with a spectacular city skyline view all year-long. We look forward to delighting our guests with these new flavors.”
City Cruises will also host specialty holiday cruises on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve. In addition to the regular menu items, Thanksgiving cruises will feature a traditional turkey dinner entree with classic accents like garlic mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce.
All Philadelphia City Cruises vessels depart from Penn’s Landing, located at 401 S. Christopher Columbus Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
