Over 400 guests arrived at the W Hotel yesterday for the fourth annual SELF(ISH)philly conference. This conference provides women with the resources they need to be preventive and proactive about their health. Founder Danielle Massi brought together some of Philadelphia’s best health and wellness vendors, speakers, and coaches to make SELF(ISH)philly 2023 the best one yet!
“Being ‘selfish’ means unapologetically putting yourself first and not being afraid to take care of yourself. It’s entirely up to you how you show up in this world as a woman,” says Danielle Massi, Founder of the SELF(ISH)philly conference.”
The Vendor Market Place was a main attraction at yesterday’s conference, featuring over 40 wellness vendors from all over the area. Guests got to spend time shopping from the different local businesses, collecting items that will assist in their self-care at home. Vendors included Double Wood Supplements, Immunocologie Skincare, Modrn Sanctuary, Restore Hyper Wellness, and so many more.
After Danielle Massi introduced the conference and discussed the importance of being SELF(ISH), various speakers took to the main stage to discuss topics such as mind & body connections, building communities as a part of self-care, creating positive change through small changes in routine, skin health and immunity, and more. Speakers included Founder of Immunocologie Karen Ballou, Founder of Mystic Mondays Tarot Grace Duong, Kundalini Business Mentor Brianna Rose, and many more. Emceeing the conference was NBC10 Philadelphia’s Aunyea Lachelle and Miss Pennsylvania 2022 Alysa Bainbridge.
Massi teamed up with a very special organization this year to donate proceeds from the conference. The American Cancer Society’s ResearcHERS fundraising campaign helps raise money for women-led cancer research. As a cancer survivor herself, Massi wants to further the incredible work that is done by female researchers and is so happy to have SELF(ISH)philly be a part of the ResearcHERS efforts.
The incredible wellness vendors, inspirational speakers, and educational yoga and sculpting classes made this year’s SELF(ISH)philly conference the biggest and best yet. Danielle Massi plans to bring it back next year.
“Today was phenomenal. I’m so excited with how it all came together so seamlessly and the support that everyone felt from all of the women who were involved in this conference as attendees, as volunteers, and as exhibitors. It really shows what Philadelphia has to offer,” says Danielle Massi, Founder of the SELF(ISH)philly conference.
