After launching their monthly wine pairing dinners at the start of the summer, City Winery Philadelphia is taking a different approach this month by featuring a “Bourbon & BBQ Pairing” dinner as a toast to the end of the season.
After two successful wine pairing dinners – “Taste of Italy” and “Taste of the Sea” – City Winery is ready to switch things up this month and introduce a new take on their pairing dinners, a “Bourbon & BBQ Pairing.” On Wednesday, August 30, 2023, the five course plated BBQ dinner will be presented by chef Robert Gindin, accompanied by a bourbon tasting led by drink expert Mike Potalivo.
Each of the five courses maintains a distinct type of BBQ style ranging from Carolina BBQ to Texas BBQ to Japanese BBQ. Each dish is masterfully paired with a bourbon-focused cocktail to create a fully immersive dining experience.
The doors will open at 6 p.m. and the dinner will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for this unique pairing dinner are $85 and can be purchased through RESY. The dinner will take place in the private dining room, so tickets are limited. Ticket sales end on Monday, August 28, 2023.
City Winery Philadelphia will be returning with a wine-centric pairing dinner on Tuesday, September 26, 2023. The Tuscan-themed dishes will be accompanied by Tolaini Wines. Tickets and more details will be available soon.
