The Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation is hosting their 7th annual Sandy Sprint Sea Isle City Run/Walk on Saturday, July 22, 2023. The event will take place in Sea Isle City, New Jersey at Excursion Park (2 41st St, Sea Isle City, NJ 08243).
The Sandy Sprint is an event that started in Philadelphia that has been happening annually for 19 years and counting. Sandy Sprints are filled with action, hope, and connection. The foundation brought the event to the Jersey Shore in an effort to spread awareness to more people about ovarian cancer and to create a space for more women and families affected by ovarian cancer to connect and form a community.
“We are so excited for our 7th annual Sandy Sprint Sea Isle City because these women and their families deserve a space to come together and connect. We want to make sure no one feels like they are fighting this disease alone,” says Robin Cohen, CEO and Co-Founder of the Sandy Rollman Ovarian Cancer Foundation.”
The 7th Annual Sandy Sprint Sea Isle City includes a 5K Run, a 2-mile Family Fun Walk, Survivor Ceremony, and more. Q102 Radio Host and In-Stadium Host for the Philadelphia Union, Rachel Viggiano (Rach On The Radio) will be hosting the event. Recording artist, songwriter, and the Philadelphia Union’s National Anthem vocalist, Ashli Rice will be performing the National Anthem and a second musical performance at the Sandy Sprint.
Race day registration will begin at 7:15 a.m., the 5K at 8:30 a.m., and the Family Fun Walk at 8:35 a.m. There will be rewards and refreshments after the run/walk. Registration fees are $40 for adults and $30 for children under 12.
